We have worked our tits off to create the new narrative for midlife women, but there’s still a long way to go, especially in how we are portrayed in the media. Our global team of elite female creatives built their careers selling to 20th century girls who have grown up to become the biggest-spending consumer group on the planet. We are powerful. We’re the ‘Women Who Ran With The Wolves’ but marketers pussyfoot around us. We grew up with Monty Python and the Young Ones but no one even tries to make us laugh. Yeah, there’s lots of talk about menopause but to us it’s not the end of the world; we’re far more concerned about the actual end of the world. And we’re not all mums, more specifically we’re not your mum. If you really want to have impact with this extraordinary generation of women then you’ll need the guts to work with a group of crazy aunts who are at a point in their lives with zero fucks left to give except when it come to producing great campaigns.
